How much does a lash lift cost at BC Beauty Spa in Dallas?

A lash lift is $85, and the appointment runs 60 minutes, one-on-one with Berenice Casneiro in North Dallas. Lash & Brow Lift sits in the wellness section of our services and prices page.

A lash lift curls your own lashes upward from the root and sets them that way for weeks. You skip the curler, and on most mornings the mascara too. Your yearly cost depends on how often you rebook.

How often you rebook Lifts per year Yearly cost at $85
Every 8 weeks 6 to 7 $510 to $595
Every 12 weeks, with breaks between lifts 4 $340
Twice a year, before big events 2 $170

The BC Beauty Membership is $99 a month and includes 10 percent off treatments, which would put an $85 lash lift at $76.50.

Our menu lists Lash & Brow Lift on its own, with no tint in the price. If you want a tint (color added to the lashes), ask about it when you book.

What is a lash lift, and what happens during the appointment?

A lash lift is a perm for your eyelashes. Dr. Nicole Bajic, an ophthalmologist at Cleveland Clinic, describes the chemistry as breaking down the disulfide bonds inside each lash and reorganizing them, which leaves the lash curled. No fibers go on, so you leave with your own lashes pointed in a new direction.

A lash lift appointment at BC Beauty Spa goes in this order:

  1. You lie back and close your eyes. They stay closed for the whole service.
  2. We place a soft silicone shield on each eyelid and comb your lashes up onto it.
  3. We apply a lifting solution that reshapes the curl from the root.
  4. A second solution sets the new shape.
  5. We remove the products and comb the lashes out.

Come with clean lashes: no mascara and no oily eye cream.

Dr. Bajic recommends a patch test before a lash lift, because sensitivity to fragrances and added chemicals is common. She also says a patch test does not rule out a reaction. If you have reacted to a hair perm, hair dye, or lash glue, tell us when you book.

How long does a lash lift last?

Most lash lifts stay visible for about 6 to 8 weeks. Lashes that grow fast can lose the curl sooner.

A lash lift fades because lashes shed. Each lifted lash falls out on its own schedule, and its replacement grows in with your natural shape. Researchers who tracked the eyelashes of 29 women every week for nine months measured a full lash cycle at about 90 days, with about 34 days of active growth. Your lashes sit at different points in that cycle on the day of your lift, so the result softens week by week instead of ending on one day.

Book a Lash & Brow Lift appointment: $85, 60 minutes, one-on-one.

Lash lift aftercare: what should you do in the first 24 to 48 hours?

The new shape keeps setting during the first day. Treat the first 24 hours as strict and the second 24 as gentle.

When Do Avoid
First 24 hours Keep lashes dry. Clean around your eyes with a damp cloth. Sleep on your back if you can. Water on the lashes, steam (hot showers, saunas, facials), mascara and eye makeup, rubbing, lash curlers
Hours 24 to 48 Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. Brush lashes upward with a clean spoolie. Swimming, heavy sweat sessions, waterproof mascara
After 48 hours Shower, swim, work out, and wear mascara if you want it. Rubbing your eyes, which can break lashes

A Dallas summer adds sweat and pool time to the avoid list, so pick a day when you can skip the workout and the pool afterward. Book any facial before the lift or two days after it, since many facials use steam. Our post on how often to get a facial helps with the timing.

Redness, swelling, or a rash around the eyes can be signs of an allergic reaction, according to Cleveland Clinic. If you notice any of those, or pain or blurry vision, contact your doctor or an eye doctor, and let us know too.

Cleveland Clinic also warns against the opposite mistake: skipping cleansing around the lashes lets debris build up, which invites infection. After the first two days, wash your lash line the way you normally would.

Who should skip a lash lift?

Wait, or pass on a lash lift, if any of these describe you:

  • Irritated eyes or eyelids. An eye infection, a stye, or red, flaky lids are reasons to wait. Cleveland Clinic notes that lash procedures can make you more prone to blepharitis, which is inflammation of the eyelids.
  • Past reactions to a hair perm, hair dye, lash glue, or fragranced eye products. Ask for a patch test first, or skip the lift.
  • Brittle or sparse lashes, or lashes still curled from a recent lift. Dr. Bajic ties the real problems to constant trauma to the lashes rather than to an occasional lift, so worn lashes are a reason to wait instead of rebook.
  • Recent eye surgery or an eye procedure. Ask your eye doctor when lash treatments are fine again.
  • Pregnancy or nursing. We have not found solid research on lash lifts during pregnancy, so ask your doctor first.
  • Extensions. A lift works on bare natural lashes, so extensions come off first.

Dr. Bajic adds two cautions: the long-term effects of lash lifts are not known, and at-home lift kits are risky because it is hard to inspect what you are doing to your own eyes.

Lash lift or lash extensions: which one should you pick?

A lash lift curls the lashes you already have, so it asks nothing of you between visits but adds no length or volume. Extensions glue synthetic fibers to your natural lashes for length and fullness, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology lists glue allergy, infection of the eyelid or cornea, and lash loss from rubbing or pulling among the risks. Our menu has the lift at $85 and does not include extensions.

How often can you get a lash lift?

We suggest waiting until the last lift has grown out, which for most people means 8 weeks or more between appointments. Lifting lashes that still hold a curl processes the same hairs twice.

Dr. Bajic is more cautious than most lash menus. She says a couple of lifts a year, timed for a wedding or a big event, probably will not cause significant damage. The problems, she says, come from constant trauma to the lashes. If yours feel dry or look thinner, take a longer break.

For a wedding, a quinceañera, or a vacation, book the lash lift at least two days ahead so the dry window ends before the event.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a lash lift at BC Beauty Spa?

Lash & Brow Lift costs $85, and the appointment takes 60 minutes. Rebooking every 8 weeks comes to 6 or 7 lifts a year, or $510 to $595. You can book online any time.

Does a lash lift hurt?

A lash lift should not hurt. Your eyes stay closed and you lie still for most of the hour. Stinging or burning is a reason to speak up right away so we can remove the product.

Can you wear mascara after a lash lift?

Yes, after the first 24 hours, and waiting 48 is kinder to the curl. Pick a regular formula over waterproof, because waterproof mascara takes more rubbing to remove.

Does a lash lift include a tint?

Our menu lists Lash & Brow Lift on its own at $85. On tints in general, the FDA says permanent eyelash and eyebrow dyes have caused serious eye injuries. It does allow silver nitrate as a color additive in professional-use products for lashes and brows. Ask any studio which product it uses before you agree to color near your eyes.

Can you get a lash lift while pregnant?

We have not found solid research on lash lifts during pregnancy or nursing. Ask your doctor first, and tell us when you book. Waiting until later is a fine choice.

Will a lash lift work on short or straight lashes?

A lash lift changes direction and adds no length. Straight lashes that point forward or down tend to show the biggest difference, because the curl makes their full length visible from the front. Lashes that are very short have little to curl, so ask us before you book.
